According to Security Focus, last January an Ohio Nuclear power plant's safety monitoring system was penetrated and disabled for nearly five hours by the Slammer worm that was circulating on the net at the time. Personel believed the system was protected by a firewall. The plant is operated by FirstEnergy Corp., who has also become a focus of the northeastern US blackout last week.
