Isreali newspaper Ha'aretz features an article documenting disturbing quotes of an eBay 'Director' from an apparently private talk at a conference named CyberCrime2003 about eBay's collection of user's personal information and online actions. "Haaretz has obtained a recording of the lecture, in which Sullivan (eBay's director of the "law enforcement and compliance") tells the audience that eBay is willing to hand over everything it knows about visitors to its Web site that might be of interest to an investigator. All they have to do is ask." eBay also owns the online payment service PayPal.
